LocknLock is a globally recognized household brand that originated in Seoul, South Korea, in 1978. Originally established as Han-kook Distribution Co. by Kim Joon-il, the company gained international fame in 1998 with the introduction of its signature four-side locking mechanism containers, which revolutionized airtight food storage. Over decades, the brand has expanded its portfolio to include high-quality cookware, thermal tumblers, and small kitchen appliances.

While the brand's heart remains in South Korea, its manufacturing footprint is global. The company operates major production hubs in Vietnam (particularly Vũng Tàu for plastic, glass, and cookware) and China (Suzhou), alongside facilities in its home country. This multi-country manufacturing strategy allows LocknLock to efficiently supply more than 120 countries worldwide.

In 2017, the brand's ownership transitioned when a controlling stake was acquired by Affinity Equity Partners, an Asia-focused private equity firm. Under this new management, LocknLock has evolved from a kitchenware specialist into a comprehensive global lifestyle brand, continuing its legacy of Korean design and innovation while operating under the umbrella of its Hong Kong-based ultimate owner.
