Araldite

Araldite is a world-renowned brand of high-performance adhesives, primarily known for its two-part epoxy resins. The brand's history began in 1946 when Swiss manufacturers launched the first DIY epoxy products. The tech was originally developed by Aero Research Limited (ARL) in the UK, which gave the brand its name (ARL-dite). In 1950, the first major batches of epoxy resins were produced in Duxford, England.

Historically part of the Swiss chemical giant Ciba (later Ciba-Geigy), the brand's industrial and global ownership transitioned to the Huntsman Corporation in the late 1990s. As of 2026, the brand remains a flagship of Huntsman's Advanced Materials division. However, it is notable for a significant regional split in ownership: in 2020, Pidilite Industries acquired the consumer/DIY business rights for Araldite in the Indian subcontinent, Middle East, Africa, and ASEAN regions.

Manufacturing takes place at multiple global locations including the United States, Europe, and Asia, catering to diverse sectors such as aerospace, automotive, and general construction.
