Matriket (Lidl private label)

Matriket is a premium private label brand launched by Lidl Sweden in April 2023. The brand was specifically developed for the Swedish market to consolidate various Swedish-origin products under a single, recognizable identity. It replaced several of Lidl's previous internal brands such as Enebacken, Ängens, and Kvarnvingen.

Every product sold under the Matriket label carries the 'Från Sverige' (From Sweden) certification. This guarantee ensures that the products are grown, born and raised, processed, packaged, and controlled entirely within Sweden. The range includes approximately 200 to 250 items, spanning dairy products (milk, yogurt), charcuterie, grains, and fresh produce, all sourced from over 30 different Swedish suppliers and farms.

While the products and production are 100% Swedish, the brand itself is a proprietary label of Lidl Sverige. Lidl is a subsidiary of the German-based Schwarz Group, one of the world's largest retail conglomerates. The move to create Matriket reflects a strategic effort to support the Swedish agricultural sector while providing consumers with high-quality, locally produced food at competitive discount prices.
