El Rashidi El Mizan is one of Egypt's most historic and iconic food brands, established in Cairo in 1889 as a small family-run business. The brand is famously recognized by its logo featuring the scales of justice, which symbolizes the company's commitment to quality and fairness, particularly in its original trade of sesame-based products such as Halawa and Tahini.

Over the decades, the brand expanded from a local family enterprise into a regional powerhouse. Its ownership history reflects its growth: after being managed by the founding family for generations, it was acquired by Unilever in the late 20th century. In 2002, it underwent a management buyout supported by Actis, and in 2015, it was fully acquired by The Olayan Group, a major multinational conglomerate. Today, the brand remains a market leader in Egypt and exports products, including jams and tomato pastes, to over 40 countries, with primary manufacturing occurring in its state-of-the-art facilities in 6th of October City, Egypt.
