BC London Lions Basketball Club

The London Lions (formerly BC London Lions) are a premier professional basketball team based in Stratford, London. Founded in 1977 as the Hemel Hempstead Lakers, the franchise underwent several relocations and name changes, moving from Hemel Hempstead to Watford and Milton Keynes before finally settling in London in 2012. The team plays its home games at the Copper Box Arena, a legacy venue from the London 2012 Olympic Games.

In recent years, the club's ownership has undergone significant transitions. After being owned by Vince Macaulay for nearly three decades, the club was acquired by the American investment firm 777 Partners in 2020. Following financial instability involving the previous owners, the club was rescued in August 2024 by Tesonet, a Lithuanian tech company and major shareholder in BC Žalgiris. Under this new management, the Zalgiris Group oversees the sporting operations and strategic direction of the club. Merchandise and kits associated with the brand are produced through global partnerships, notably with adidas (via Specialist Sports) as the official kit partner for the 2025/26 season, with manufacturing occurring across various international locations typical of major sportswear brands.
