Real Sociedad de Fútbol, commonly known as La Real, is a historic Spanish professional football club based in San Sebastián, Basque Country. Founded on September 7, 1909, the club has a rich heritage rooted in its local community, reflected in its iconic blue and white vertical stripes inspired by the flag of San Sebastián. The club's identity is deeply tied to the Basque Country, evidenced by the consistent inclusion of the Ikurriña (Basque flag) on their official kits.

In terms of manufacturing and technical supply, the club has a long-standing partnership with the Italian sportswear brand Macron, which has been the official kit supplier since the 2018-19 season. While the garments are 'Designed in Bologna' at Macron's headquarters to ensure high-quality technical standards and bespoke aesthetic details, the physical production of the merchandise occurs across Macron's global supply chain, which includes facilities in Italy, China, and other specialized textile hubs. Starting in the 2026-27 season, the club is set to transition to the Spanish brand Joma as its new technical sponsor.
