After various corporate changes and ownership shifts in the late 20th and early 21st centuries—including periods of ownership by Hong Kong-based Highway Holdings and Swiss-based Premier Trademarks AG—the brand underwent a significant transition. As of 2024, the trademark and international brand rights for Kienzle were acquired by the Wels-based Kienzle1822 GmbH, led by investors Georg Krippl, Jochen Krippl, and Christopher Conzen. The current ownership aims to revitalize the brand's heritage, focusing on precision timepieces and expanding into new measuring instrument segments with a global distribution focus.
