Prince Rich cigarettes

Prince is a historic cigarette brand originally founded in Denmark. It was first launched in 1957 by the company Chr. Augustinus Fabrikker and quickly became the dominant brand in the Danish market, later expanding successfully across Scandinavia, particularly in Norway and Sweden.

Over the decades, the brand's production and ownership evolved within the Danish cigarette industry. In 1961, several major Danish tobacco interests merged to form the Scandinavian Tobacco Company (ST), under which the Prince brand became a flagship product. The manufacturing originated in the Søborg factory in Denmark, but as the brand expanded internationally into markets like Germany and Poland, production operations moved to multiple locations. In 2008, the cigarette arm of the Scandinavian Tobacco Company, known as House of Prince, was acquired by the global tobacco giant British American Tobacco (BAT).

Today, the Prince brand is part of the extensive portfolio of British American Tobacco. While it maintains its strong Scandinavian heritage and continues to be a major player in Northern Europe and Germany, it is produced in various international facilities owned by the parent company.
