Paulaner Münchner Hell beer

Paulaner Münchner Hell is a traditional Bavarian pale lager produced by one of Munich's most iconic breweries. Its origins date back to 1634 when it was first brewed by the Minim friars (Paulaner Order) for their own consumption, eventually gaining official permission to sell to the public in 1751. The beer is strictly brewed according to the Reinheitsgebot (German Beer Purity Law), using Hallertauer Tradition hops and local Bavarian malts.

Today, the brand is part of the Paulaner Brauerei Gruppe, which remains rooted in its home city with a state-of-the-art production facility in Munich-Langwied. Since the late 1970s, the company has transitioned from a family-run monk-founded brewery to a joint venture model. It is currently majority-owned by the Schörghuber Corporate Group, a major German conglomerate with interests in real estate and beverages, while the global brewing giant Heineken holds a significant minority stake.
