Samus Home Appliances

Samus is a historic Romanian brand with a legacy spanning over 40 years. It originally gained widespread recognition in the 1990s as a manufacturer of gas stoves based in Satu Mare. The original state-owned factory, which dates back to 1906, was eventually acquired by the Swedish multinational Electrolux in 1997.

While the original Samus factory in Satu Mare remains part of Electrolux's industrial network (primarily manufacturing under the Zanussi and Electrolux names), the 'Samus' brand itself transitioned. Today, the Samus brand is managed by Smartelectro, a Romanian company headquartered in Bucharest. Under this modern stewardship, Samus has expanded from stoves into a complete range of household electronics, including refrigerators, vacuum cleaners, and kitchen appliances. While the brand is proudly Romanian in origin and management ('Brand Românesc'), most actual manufacturing for the current product range is outsourced to specialized facilities in countries like China and Turkey to maintain competitive pricing.
