Felix Tomatketchup

Felix is an iconic Swedish brand, most famous for its tomato ketchup which has been a staple in Swedish households since its launch in 1956. The brand was originally established by Herbert Felix in Eslöv, Sweden, after he fled the Nazis in Austria and settled in the country in 1938. What began as a pickled cucumber business expanded into ketchup, eventually making Swedes some of the highest per-capita consumers of ketchup in the world.

Today, the production for the Swedish market remains deeply rooted in Sweden, primarily manufactured at the Orkla Foods factory in Fågelmara, Blekinge. While the brand has its heart in Sweden, it is currently owned by Orkla, a leading Norwegian industrial conglomerate. The brand is managed through the subsidiary Orkla Foods Sverige, ensuring the product maintains its local heritage while benefiting from modern production and distribution networks across Northern Europe.
