Salvita Wieliczka Salt Mine table salt

Salvita table salt is produced by the historic Wieliczka Salt Mine (Kopalnia Soli Wieliczka) located in southern Poland. This site is one of the world's oldest and most famous salt mines, having operated continuously from the 13th century until commercial mining ceased in 1996. Today, it is a UNESCO World Heritage site and a major tourist attraction.

The salt is produced through the evaporation of natural brine extracted from the ancient deposits near Krakow. While large-scale commercial mining for industrial purposes has ended, the mine continues to produce a variety of consumer products, including table salts, cosmetics, and bath salts, under its own branding. The brand 'Salvita' is specifically marketed as a refined table salt often enriched with potassium or iodine. The brand and the mine are currently owned by the Polish state treasury and managed by the company Kopalnia Soli Wieliczka S.A.
