Martini & Rossi Extra Dry Vermouth

Martini & Rossi is an iconic Italian brand with roots dating back to 1863 in Pessione, near Turin. The brand was established by Alessandro Martini, Luigi Rossi, and Teofilo Sola, building upon a vermouth bottling plant founded in 1847. Over the decades, it became a global symbol of the Italian 'aperitivo' culture, with its recipes for Rosso, Bianco, and Extra Dry vermouths becoming bar staples worldwide.

While the botanical extracts and secret formulas are still prepared at the historic facility in Pessione, Italy, the high volume of global demand means that bottling and production also occur in various subsidiary facilities internationally. The brand is deeply tied to its Piedmontese heritage, using local Moscato grapes for its sparkling wines and regional Trebbiano for its vermouth base.

In 1993, the Rossi and Bacardi families merged their businesses to form the Bacardi-Martini Group. Today, the brand is owned by Bacardi Limited, one of the world's largest privately held spirits companies. Despite its global corporate structure, Martini & Rossi maintains its headquarters and primary identity in Italy.
