Hero B'tween is a popular line of cereal and muesli bars primarily marketed in the Benelux region, particularly the Netherlands. The brand is an extension of the broader healthy snacking portfolio managed by the Hero Group. The bars are designed as a convenient 'between-meal' energy boost (hence the name) and are essentially the Dutch market equivalent of the internationally known 'Corny' brand.
While the brand has deep Swiss roots and is owned by the Swiss multinational Hero Group, the actual production for these snack bars is centralized in Germany. They are manufactured at the Schwartauer Werke facilities in Bad Schwartau, which serves as the primary production hub for the Hero Group's cereal bar division. This facility supplies various European markets with a wide array of flavors, ranging from classic milk chocolate to protein-enriched and sugar-free 'Zero' variants.
The Hero Group, originally founded in 1886 in Lenzburg, Switzerland, remains the ultimate owner of the brand. It grew significantly in the snack sector after acquiring a majority stake in the German company Schwartauer Werke in 2002. Today, Hero B'tween is a household name in the Netherlands, distributed locally by Hero Benelux based in Breda.
