They are manufactured at the Schwartauer Werke facilities in Bad Schwartau, which serves as the primary production hub for the Hero Group's cereal bar division. The Hero Group, originally founded in 1886 in Lenzburg, Switzerland, remains the ultimate owner of the brand. It grew significantly in the snack sector after acquiring a majority stake in the German company Schwartauer Werke in 2002. Today, Hero B'tween is a household name in the Netherlands, distributed locally by Hero Benelux based in Breda.
