Aura Teranino

Aura Teranino is a prestigious red wine liqueur produced by the family-owned Aura Distillery (Aura Proizvodi d.o.o.), located in the town of Buzet in Istria, Croatia. Originally established in a historic wine cellar dating back to 1905, the brand has become one of Croatia's most successful craft spirits producers. The product is made by combining a fruit distillate with indigenous Teran red wine and a secret blend of ten aromatic spices, resulting in a rich, ruby-red liqueur known for its notes of cherry, chocolate, and cinnamon.

All production stages, from maceration and distillation to hand-bottling and labeling, are carried out locally at the distillery in Buzet. The brand remains entirely private and family-owned, led by founder and director Mišel Sirotić. Due to its high quality and authentic traditional preparation without artificial additives, it has received numerous international accolades, including prestigious gold medals at global competitions. As of 2026, the company continues to operate independently, expanding its presence through its own specialized distillery shops and a growing franchise network across Croatia and Slovenia.
