AVM FRITZ!Repeater 2400

The FRITZ!Repeater 2400 is a high-performance mesh Wi-Fi extender developed by the German technology firm AVM GmbH. Originally founded in 1986 by Johannes Nill, Peter Faxel, and Ulrich Müller-Albring, AVM established its headquarters in Berlin and became a household name in Germany and Europe through its iconic FRITZ!Box routers and networking hardware.

In a significant transition aimed at ensuring a generational succession, the company was acquired in July 2024 by Imker Capital Partners, a European family office backed by the Dutch van Rappard family. As part of a major rebranding strategy effective from 2025, AVM officially changed its corporate name to FRITZ! GmbH to capitalize on the high consumer awareness of its flagship brand. Despite the ownership change, the company continues its long-standing tradition of developing and manufacturing the majority of its products within Germany and broader Europe, maintaining a strong focus on in-house software (FRITZ!OS) and local production standards.
