Pandemic board game

Pandemic is a globally acclaimed cooperative board game designed by Matt Leacock and first published in 2008. The product is primarily manufactured in China, which is standard for most of the tabletop gaming industry.

The brand was originally published by Z-Man Games, an American company founded by Zev Shlasinger in 1999. Over the years, the brand has undergone several ownership changes. In 2011, it was acquired by the Canadian entity F2Z Entertainment (Filosofia), which was subsequently purchased by the French tabletop giant Asmodee Group in 2016.

Starting in 2026, Asmodee operates as an independent, publicly traded company on Nasdaq Stockholm following its spin-off from the Swedish conglomerate Embracer Group. While Z-Man Games remains the publishing studio responsible for the Pandemic series, the ultimate ownership resides with Asmodee Group, headquartered in France.
