The brand belongs to Prealpi S.p.A., which was founded in 1922 by Luigi Prevosti. For over a century, the company has remained entirely in the hands of the Prevosti family, preserving its identity as a family-owned Italian business. While its historical core business was butter production, the company expanded into spreadable cheeses and melted cheese slices (formaggini) during the mid-20th century. Today, all Prealpi products, including the Quick spreadable cheese, are manufactured in their facility in Varese, Italy.
