Exquisa is a prominent German dairy brand best known for its range of cream cheeses, quark, and yogurt-based products. The brand was officially launched in 1969 by the Karwendel Dairy (Karwendel-Werke Huber GmbH & Co. KG), a family-owned enterprise with a history dating back to 1909 when it was founded by Franz Xaver Huber in Bavaria.
While the product package shown is labeled for the Italian market by the local subsidiary Exquisa Italia S.r.l. (based in Bolzano), the physical production of Exquisa products primarily takes place at the company's headquarters and manufacturing facility in Buchloe, Bavaria, Germany. The company remains a private, family-run business, currently managed by the third and fourth generations of the Huber family.
Exquisa is recognized for specializing in high-quality fresh cheese spreads and has pioneered various 'free-from' categories, including the lactose-free variety shown in the image, which was specifically introduced to meet the growing consumer demand for digestible and healthy dairy alternatives across Europe.
