Lohilo functional foods

LOHILO is a Swedish functional food brand that specializes in high-protein, low-sugar, and low-fat products. Originally known as Alvestaglass AB, the company was founded in 1979 in Alvesta, Sweden, as a small local ice cream factory. In 2007, it was acquired by Dan Isaksson and Richard Hertvig, who moved operations to Växjö. The LOHILO brand itself was launched in 2013, focusing on a health-conscious "LO-HI-LO" (Low carb, High protein, Low fat) philosophy.

Today, Lohilo Foods AB operates as a food technology and distribution company rather than a traditional manufacturer. It does not own its own production facilities but instead utilizes a network of BRC/IFS-certified producers across Europe to manufacture its products. Furthermore, the brand is expanding its manufacturing footprint globally, including licensing agreements for production in China to serve Asian markets. The company remains independent and is publicly traded on the NGM Nordic SME market in Sweden.
