Loda Javel bleach

LODA Javel is a traditional cleaning and disinfecting product with origins dating back to 1930. The brand was established in Westmalle, Belgium, by Henri Lorent and Jan Daemen, who initially focused on washing products and demiwater. Over nearly a century, LODA has grown into a major producer of chemical cleaning agents for the Belgian and Dutch markets.

Currently, the product is primarily manufactured in Beerse, Belgium, after the company relocated to a larger, sustainable facility in 2014. The production site handles the entire manufacturing process, including the creation of its own packaging, to maintain logistical efficiency and high quality standards.

Ownership of the brand transitioned in 1996 when it was acquired by Hans Geerts, and it continues to operate as a privately held Belgian company. Recent expansions have seen the brand acquire other specialist divisions, such as the bleach division of Burg Reiniging, further solidifying its presence as a key utility player in Northern European cleaning supplies.
