NorthSide Festival

NorthSide is a premier three-day music festival held annually in Aarhus, Denmark. Since its inception in 2010, the festival has grown from a local one-day event into an international staple of the European festival circuit, hosted primarily at Eskelunden. It is widely recognized for its strong commitment to sustainability, operating with a mission to be the most environmentally conscious cultural event in the Nordic region, including serving 100% organic and plant-based food.

The festival was originally founded by Danish promoter Brian Nielsen in partnership with the German company FKP Scorpio. Over the years, ownership transitioned to the Down The Drain Group, which manages several of Denmark's largest commercial music events. In 2019, Down The Drain Group was acquired by Superstruct Entertainment, a major live entertainment platform. In June 2024, the global investment firm KKR acquired Superstruct Entertainment, bringing NorthSide under the umbrella of one of the world's largest private equity firms.
