Maxicortan cream

Maxicortan is a pharmaceutical product primarily used for treating inflammatory skin conditions such as atopic dermatitis, allergic eczema, and insect bites. It was launched in Poland by the pharmaceutical company Aflofarm. The product is notable for containing a double dose of hydrocortisone (10 mg/g) compared to many standard over-the-counter hydrocortisone creams.

The brand is manufactured in Poland by Aflofarm Farmacja Polska, which operates several production facilities in the Łódź region, including Pabianice, Rzgów, and Ksawerów. Since its debut in 2019 as an OTC (over-the-counter) drug, Maxicortan has become a well-recognized brand in the Polish pharmacy market.

Aflofarm, the owner of the brand, is a 100% Polish family-owned company. It was founded in 1989 by Andrzej Furman and remains under the ownership and management of the Furman family. It is currently one of the largest drug manufacturers in Central and Eastern Europe and a leader in the OTC (over-the-counter) medication sector in Poland.
