Bosch washer dryers are the result of over a century of German engineering excellence. While the brand was founded in Stuttgart, Germany, in 1886, its modern manufacturing for laundry appliances is a global operation. High-end and flagship models, particularly those in the Series 8 line, are often manufactured in Germany at specialized facilities like the Nauen plant near Brandenburg. However, to meet global demand and maintain competitive pricing, Bosch also produces washer dryers in other major hubs including Poland, Turkey, China, and India.

Ownership of the Bosch brand in the home appliance sector underwent a significant shift in 2015. Originally, these appliances were produced through BSH Hausgeräte GmbH, a joint venture between Bosch and Siemens. Today, BSH is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Bosch Group (Robert Bosch GmbH). Reflecting the philanthropic legacy of its founder, Robert Bosch, the company is uniquely structured: 94% of its shares are held by the Robert Bosch Stiftung, a charitable foundation, ensuring that a significant portion of its profits supports humanitarian and social causes while the company remains private and focused on long-term innovation.
