The brand's history began in 1981 when founder Heinz Riedel drew inspiration from the Swedish town of Mellerud to develop specialized cleaning recipes. Upon returning to Germany, he established Mellerud Chemie GmbH in Brüggen, North Rhine-Westphalia, where the company still operates today.

All products continue to be developed and manufactured exclusively at the company's state-of-the-art facility in Brüggen, adhering to the strict 'Made in Germany' quality standards.
