Delverde Granfetta integral toasted bread

Delverde Granfetta is a premium line of toasted bread slices known for their round shape and fragrant crunch. Originally founded in 1967 in Fara San Martino, Abruzzo, the Delverde brand established its reputation through high-quality pasta made with spring water from the Verde River.

In 2019, the brand was acquired by Newlat Food S.p.A., an Italian agri-food group, from the Argentine multinational Molinos Río de la Plata. While Delverde's signature pasta continues to be produced at its historic plant in Abruzzo, the bakery range—including Granfetta—is manufactured at the group's specialized production facility in Sansepolcro, Tuscany. This site is historically significant as the birthplace of the Buitoni brand and remains a central hub for Newlat's baked goods and pasta operations today. Currently, the brand is managed under the Princes Italia S.p.A. subsidiary following Newlat's major acquisition of Princes Group in 2024, forming a global leader in the food sector.
