Pretty Ugly Pottery is a well-known brand of distinctive, handmade stoneware recognized primarily for its 'Ugly Mugs' and whimsical face jugs. The brand was established in Rhos-on-Sea, North Wales, where it operated for several decades as a production-focused pottery plant. The products are characterized by their anthropomorphic facial features, often sculpted by hand onto wheel-thrown bases.

In 1997, the company expanded by opening a large visitor center and production site in Liverpool, England. However, this expansion was short-lived, and the brand ceased operations around 1999. Today, the pottery is no longer in active production and has become a popular collectible item on the secondary market. The brand was originally created by a private workshop in Wales and did not belong to a larger multinational conglomerate.
