Selgros is a prominent European cash-and-carry wholesaler that serves professional customers, including the HoReCa sector (hotels, restaurants, and catering), small retailers, and other businesses. The brand was established in 1959 with its first store in Offenbach am Main, Germany. Its name is derived from the German phrase 'Selbstbedienungs-Grosshandel', which translates to self-service wholesale.

Historically, Selgros operated as a joint venture between the Rewe Group and the Otto Group. However, through a series of acquisitions ending in 2011, it became a core part of Transgourmet Holding. As of 2026, the brand is fully owned by the Swiss Coop Group (Coop Genossenschaft), one of Switzerland's largest retail and wholesale cooperatives.

While Selgros is a retail and wholesale brand rather than a single manufactured product, it operates a vast network of stores across Germany, Poland, and Romania. The products sold within its warehouses are sourced from thousands of global and local suppliers. Additionally, Selgros produces some of its own private-label goods, such as fresh meat and bakery items, within its regional facilities in its operating countries. Following geopolitical shifts in 2022, the brand finalized its exit from the Russian market by late 2024.
