Wilckens Terrassen-Öl is a high-quality protective wood treatment designed for outdoor decking and terraces. It is produced by Wilckens Farben GmbH, one of Germany's most prominent independent, family-owned paint and coating manufacturers. Founded in 1845 by Mars Wilckens in Glückstadt, the company originally began as a grain mill trade dating back to 1620. Following the loss of export markets after World War I, the company pivoted to paint production in the 1920s.

Today, Wilckens is managed by the eleventh generation of the founding family. The brand maintains its main production facility and headquarters in Glückstadt, Schleswig-Holstein, though it also operates manufacturing and distribution networks in Italy, Greece, and China. As a 'group-free' or independent entity, it remains unaffiliated with larger global chemical conglomerates, positioning itself as a reliable specialist for decorative, industrial, and marine coatings.
