Le Slip Français is a champion of the 'Made in France' movement, dedicated to revitalizing the French textile industry through local production. Founded in 2011 by Guillaume Gibault, the brand started with a simple bet to sell French-made undergarments and has since expanded its range to include pyjamas, swimwear, and accessories. Every stage of manufacturing, from the knitting of the threads to the final packaging and labels, is carried out within France, utilizing a network of over 40 specialized workshops across the country like Lemahieu in the north or workshops in the Dordogne region.

In 2020, the company officially became an 'Entreprise à Mission' (a mission-driven company), solidifying its commitment to social and environmental impact. This status is complemented by its B Corp certification. While the company remains private, it has attracted significant investment from firms like Experienced Capital Management and 360 Capital to fuel its growth. Despite facing market challenges in early 2024, the brand continues to focus on its core identity of quality craftsmanship and local employment under the leadership of founder Guillaume Gibault and CEO Léa Marie.
