Funda is the leading real estate classifieds platform in the Netherlands. Founded in 2001, it was established by the Dutch Association of Real Estate Agents (NVM) to provide a centralized digital marketplace for property listings. The platform is deeply integrated into the Dutch housing market, serving millions of unique visitors monthly and hosting listings from thousands of brokers.

While originally and primarily owned by the NVM (the Dutch real estate brokers' association), the ownership structure evolved significantly in early 2024. The US-based global growth investor General Atlantic acquired a 24% stake in the company. Despite this international investment, NVM Holding remains the majority shareholder with a 71% stake, ensuring the platform remains closely tied to the Dutch real estate professional community. The company is headquartered in Amsterdam, where its digital services are developed and maintained.
