Mionetto is a historic Italian sparkling wine brand rooted in the hills of Valdobbiadene, within the Veneto region of Northern Italy. Founded in 1887 by master winemaker Francesco Mionetto, the brand has grown from a local family winery into one of the world's most recognized Prosecco producers. It is particularly noted for being one of the first major exporters of Prosecco, significantly building the category's international popularity.
Since 2008, Mionetto has been part of the Henkell & Co. Group (now Henkell Freixenet), a major German player in the global sparkling wine market. Following the 2018 alliance between Henkell and the Spanish giant Freixenet, the brand became part of the world's largest sparkling wine group. Despite these international ownership changes, the production of Mionetto Prosecco remains strictly tied to its Italian origin, produced in the heart of the DOC and DOCG Prosecco regions using the Charmat method to preserve its characteristic fresh and fruity profile.
