Petrol Industries is a denim-focused fashion brand founded in 1989 in the Netherlands by Pedro van Zon. Originally starting with high-quality leather belts, the brand expanded into menswear and kids' apparel, building a strong identity around American vintage motor culture and industrial aesthetics.

While the brand management, design, and headquarters remain in Tilburg, Netherlands, its manufacturing is decentralized. Production takes place in several global textile hubs, including Bangladesh, Pakistan, Vietnam, and Turkey, to maintain its position in the affordable mid-segment market.

After years of organic growth under its founders, the brand saw significant investment from Vendis Capital in 2016. In late 2023, the brand was acquired by the Mentime Group, which continues to oversee its pan-European distribution and expansion as of 2024 and beyond.
