Kravetz, who initially designed printed T-shirts and sweatshirts to fund their education. The brand was inspired by the luxury and heritage of Beverly Hills, California, and the prestigious sport of polo.

Over the decades, the brand evolved from a local collegiate venture into a diverse international fashion house. Due to its rapid growth, the original founders transitioned the business into a licensing model, outsourcing production to various manufacturers worldwide while maintaining oversight of design and branding.
