Magnum and Cornetto ice cream

Originally developed in different regions—Magnum in Denmark (1989) and Cornetto in Italy (1959)—the brands became synonymous with the Anglo-Dutch conglomerate Unilever for decades.

Starting in 2025, Unilever underwent a significant corporate restructuring, spinning off its entire ice cream division into a new, independent entity known as The Magnum Ice Cream Company (TMICC). This new company is now the ultimate owner of these iconic brands and is headquartered in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

For the Thai market, these products are manufactured locally at production sites such as the Minburi factory. Unilever (and its successor ice cream entity) has a long-standing presence in Thailand, utilizing a massive distribution network of mobile stalls and retail freezers to maintain its position as a market leader in the frozen dessert category.
