Sensodyne Multi Protection+ is a specialized oral care product designed for individuals with tooth sensitivity. The brand was originally created by Alexander Block of the Block Drug Company in 1961 in Brooklyn, New York. Over the decades, ownership shifted as SmithKline Beecham (later GlaxoSmithKline or GSK) acquired Block Drug in 2000. In July 2022, GSK spun off its consumer healthcare division into an independent, publicly-traded company called Haleon plc.
Today, Sensodyne is the flagship brand of Haleon, which is headquartered in Weybridge, United Kingdom. While the brand has British-American roots, its manufacturing is global to support local markets. Products sold in Europe, including Spain, are often produced in regional facilities across the EU or the UK, though manufacturing also occurs in various other locations worldwide depending on the specific product line and distribution requirements.
