Ooni pizza oven

Ooni is a globally recognized brand that pioneered the portable outdoor pizza oven category. Founded in 2012 by husband-and-wife team Kristian Tapaninaho and Darina Garland, the brand was born out of a desire to achieve restaurant-quality high-heat cooking at home. Originally launched as 'Uuni' (the Finnish word for 'oven') via a successful Kickstarter campaign, the company rebranded to Ooni in 2018 to ensure better international pronunciation.

While the brand is headquartered in Edinburgh, Scotland, where all research, design, and prototyping take place, the actual manufacturing of the ovens is primarily carried out in specialized factories in China. This global supply chain model allows Ooni to maintain a balance between innovative Scottish engineering and cost-effective production, making high-temperature (up to 500°C) outdoor cooking accessible to residential customers worldwide.
