Stolichnaya Premium Vodka

Stolichnaya, colloquially known as Stoli, is a historic brand originally founded in the Soviet Union in 1938. Since the dissolution of the USSR, the brand has been at the center of a complex international ownership dispute. Most of the vodka distributed globally is produced by the Stoli Group (part of the SPI Group), which is headquartered in Luxembourg and owned by Yuri Shefler. While the brand has Russian roots, the Stoli Group moved its production to Riga, Latvia, in the early 2000s at the Latvijas Balzams distillery to distance itself from the Russian government.

In 2022, following the invasion of Ukraine, the company officially rebranded its global label to 'Stoli' and committed to removing all Russian-sourced ingredients, including shifting its grain supply to Slovakia. It is important to note that a separate version of Stolichnaya is still produced and sold within Russia and a few other jurisdictions by the state-owned FKP Soyuzplodoimport. For international consumers, however, the product is a flagship brand of the Luxembourg-based Stoli Group.
