ProViva Drakfrukt Guava Calamansi

ProViva is a Swedish brand of probiotic fruit drinks that was born out of a research project at Lund University in the early 1990s. The brand was officially launched in 1994 by the Swedish dairy company Skånemejerier, utilizing the patented probiotic strain Lactobacillus plantarum 299v (LP299V) developed by Probi AB.

Historically, the brand was a joint venture between Skånemejerier and the French multinational Danone, with Danone taking a majority stake in 2010. However, in late 2025 and 2026, a major ownership transition occurred. Danone agreed to sell its controlling interest in the ProViva brand and its primary production facility, the Österlenmejeriet factory in Lunnarp, to the Groupe Lactalis.

As of early 2026, ProViva is managed by Lactalis' Swedish subsidiary, Skånemejerier. All ProViva products, including this seasonal limited edition flavor, continue to be produced locally in Sweden at the Lunnarp facility in Skåne.
