Norda is a high-performance trail running brand that emerged from the rugged landscapes of Quebec, Canada. Founded in 2020 by endurance athletes Nick and Willamina Martire, the brand was born out of a desire to create a technical running shoe that did not compromise on durability or sustainability. The brand gained international attention for being the first to successfully utilize Dyneema—a fiber significantly stronger than steel—in a seamless upper construction for running footwear.

While the brand's identity is deeply rooted in the Canadian wilderness where the shoes are designed and tested, the manufacturing process is global. The high-tech Dyneema fibers are sourced from the United States, materials are woven in Europe using specialized technology, and the final assembly of the footwear takes place in China, which the brand identifies as a lead location for technical footwear production. In 2023, the brand reached a significant milestone when the Italian luxury group Zegna acquired a minority stake, facilitating a partnership that blends high-fashion luxury with outdoor performance technology.
