Bazzite operating system

Bazzite is a custom Linux distribution based on Fedora Atomic Desktop, specifically designed to provide a turn-key gaming experience for desktop PCs and handheld devices like the Steam Deck. It is part of the Universal Blue project, which focuses on providing stable, image-based operating systems.

The project was founded and is led by Kyle Gospodnetich, an engineer who originally built the custom image to improve the Linux gaming experience on handhelds and HTPCs. It is an open-source, community-driven initiative and is not owned by a traditional corporation. Instead, it is maintained by a global team of volunteer contributors and hosted through the Universal Blue ecosystem. Because it is an open-source software project distributed digitally, its 'manufacturing' or development occurs collaboratively across multiple countries.
