Trops Guacamole Mediterráneo

Trops Guacamole Mediterráneo is a premium refrigerated product produced by Trops, the leading Spanish cooperative and marketer of subtropical fruits. Based in Vélez-Málaga, Andalusia, Trops was founded in 1979 as a Society of Agrarian Transformation (S.A.T.) to bring together local producers of avocados and mangoes.

The manufacturing process takes place at their dedicated processing facility in Vélez-Málaga, operated through their subsidiary Frumaco. This plant utilizes state-of-the-art High-Pressure Processing (HPP) technology, which preserves the fresh flavor, texture, and nutritional properties of the avocado without the need for high-heat pasteurization or artificial preservatives.

Trops remains a producer-owned organization, functioning as a transnational cooperative that includes thousands of partner farmers across Spain and Portugal. It is currently the largest producer and exporter of tropical fruits in the Iberian Peninsula, maintaining full control over the supply chain from cultivation to distribution.
