Quick-Step is a globally recognized brand specializing in high-performance flooring solutions, including laminate, luxury vinyl, and engineered wood (parquet). The brand's history began in 1960 in West Flanders, Belgium, originally as part of a flax-processing company called Unilin. Faced with a shortage of flax in the 1970s, the company transitioned to wood-based products and eventually launched the Quick-Step brand in 1990 as a cost-effective, durable alternative to traditional hardwood.

Quick-Step became an industry pioneer by introducing the patented 'Uniclic' system in 1997, which revolutionized floor installation by allowing planks to click together without glue. Today, the brand is owned by the American floor covering giant Mohawk Industries, which acquired Unilin in 2005. Manufacturing is decentralized to serve global markets, with major production facilities located in Belgium (Wielsbeke), the United States (North Carolina), and a new state-of-the-art facility in Brazil (Piên) scheduled to be fully operational by 2026 to serve the Latin American market.
