Westfleisch Meat Products

Westfleisch is one of Europe's leading meat producers, strongly rooted in Northwest Germany. Founded in 1928 as the 'Westfälische Provinzial-Viehverwertungsgenossenschaft' (WPVG), it has evolved from a regional livestock trading cooperative into a major industrial meat processor. The company operates a closed value chain, sourcing animals directly from several thousand member farmers, predominantly in the Westphalia and Lower Saxony regions.

Today, Westfleisch maintains several state-of-the-art meat centers across Germany, including major sites in Coesfeld, Hamm, Oer-Erkenschwick, Bakum, and Lübbecke. These facilities handle everything from slaughtering and butchering to the production of high-quality fresh meat, convenience foods, and sausages. The group remains a cooperative (SCE), meaning it is ultimately owned by its agricultural members—thousands of German farmers—rather than a single corporate conglomerate.
