Since its inception, the brand has focused on providing high-quality domestic paper products, including toilet paper, kitchen towels, and facial tissues. It is widely recognized for its innovations like the '1/2 leaf' system and absorbent circle technology.

Currently, Colhogar is a key brand under the portfolio of Essity, a leading global hygiene and health company headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden. While the brand was originally part of the Spanish company Sarrió and later James River and Georgia-Pacific, it transitioned to Swedish ownership following Essity's spin-off from SCA. Most of the production remains centered in Spain, specifically at the historic plant in Allo, which continues to supply markets across the Iberian Peninsula.
