Ayacucho outdoor gear

Ayacucho is a specialized outdoor brand that blends technical performance with a strong social mission. Although named after the Ayacucho region in the Peruvian Andes, the brand is actually a private label developed in Belgium. It was launched in 2009 through a unique partnership between the Belgian outdoor retailer A.S.Adventure and the non-profit organization Solid International.

Today, Ayacucho is owned by Yonderland (formerly the AS Adventure Group), a major European retail conglomerate. While the brand's identity and many of its initial handcrafted accessories, such as knitted hats, originate from social projects in Peru, its wider range of technical apparel and equipment is produced in various global manufacturing hubs specializing in technical textiles, primarily across Asia and Europe.

A core part of the brand’s identity is its commitment to sustainability and corporate social responsibility. A percentage of the revenue from every Ayacucho product sold is donated to Solid International to support community development projects in Peru, Kenya, and India, making it a popular choice for environmentally and socially conscious adventurers.
