Durra Tahina Sesame

Durra Tahina is a staple Mediterranean condiment produced by Durra, a brand with historical roots dating back to the 1940s in Syria. Originally founded in Arbin, Rif Dimashq, the family-led business has grown over four generations from a local producer of traditional Levantine foods—such as 'Qamar al-Din' (apricot leather) and molasses—into a global Mediterranean food leader.

Today, the brand's main production hub is centered in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, where it established large-scale factories in 2003. The company also operates manufacturing facilities and distribution centers in Egypt and Libya. Ownership remains within the founding family through the Al-Durra International Food Industries group, which exports over 400 product varieties to more than 80 countries worldwide, including major markets in Europe, the United States, and the Middle East.
