Hellmann's is a world-renowned brand primarily known for its mayonnaise and salad dressings. The brand traces its roots back to 1913 in New York City when Richard Hellmann opened his delicatessen and began selling his wife's signature recipe. The blue ribbon on the label became a symbol of peak quality, a tradition that continues today.

The brand has undergone several corporate transitions, eventually becoming part of Best Foods before being acquired by the global consumer goods giant Unilever in 2000.
