Yeo Valley Organic Salted Butter is a premium dairy product produced in the United Kingdom. The brand's journey began in 1961 when Roger and Mary Mead purchased Holt Farm in Blagdon, Somerset. Originally starting with just 35 cows, the family began making yogurt in the 1970s, eventually launching the Yeo Valley Organic brand in 1994. Today, the butter is churned from organic cream sourced from British free-range cows, staying true to its Somerset roots.

In a significant strategic partnership formed in 2018, the license to produce, pack, and distribute Yeo Valley Organic milk, butter, and cheese was granted to Arla Foods UK. This arrangement allows the Mead family to focus on their core yogurt and dessert business while utilizing Arla's extensive farmer-owned cooperative network to supply organic butter across the UK. Despite this licensing deal, the Yeo Valley brand itself remains family-owned by the Meads and their employees through the Yeo Valley Group.

As of the mid-2020s, the brand continues to expand its footprint in the organic market, recently acquiring other brands like The Collective to bolster its portfolio. The butter remains a staple of British organic farming, recognized for its 'Yeoken' rewards program and its commitment to sustainable, chemical-free agricultural practices in the West Country.
