Mövenpick Erdbeere Gourmet-Frühstück fruit spread

Mövenpick Gourmet-Frühstück is a premium strawberry fruit spread that brandishes the heritage of the Swiss-founded Mövenpick brand. While the brand originated in Switzerland with the opening of Ueli Prager's first restaurant in 1948, the jams and fruit spreads are currently produced under license.

Starting in 2004, the German company Schwartauer Werke acquired the license to produce and distribute Mövenpick fruit spreads. Consequently, most of these products found in European markets are manufactured in Germany. The brand itself has a complex ownership history: while the restaurant and hotel chains remained separate, the consumer food brand licenses are often held by larger food conglomerates. For fruit spreads specifically, the operational and manufacturing leadership lies with the Hero Group and its subsidiaries like Schwartau.
